Pogačar Wins the Tour de France for the Fifth Time

Slovenian cyclist Tadej Pogačar won the Tour de France for the fifth time on Sunday. With this victory the 27-year-old draws level with record holders Eddy Merckx, Bernard Hinault, Miguel Induráin and Jacques Anquetil – only four riders have ever taken five titles. His final margin over the runner-up, Belgian Remco Evenepoel, was more than six minutes. The final stage had been shortened because of the wildfires in south-west France.
