EU Sends Firefighting Aircraft to Battle the Blazes in Spain

Through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism, two Greek firefighting aircraft are deployed in Spain. They are supporting efforts against the fires around 115 kilometres west of Madrid. During the fire season, European countries help each other with aircraft and personnel.
